India Drives Unprecedented Growth for SAP Ecosystem

SAP AG today announced significant growth in its ecosystem across India, which is the location for the final event in the SAP(R) TechEd '07 series. Over the past year, Indian customers and partners have more than doubled their membership and activities within SAP communities of innovation, showing India as a driving force in the SAP ecosystem. In Bangalore this week, SAP will welcome more than 5,000 customers and partners to discuss how to better harness the power and flexibility of enterprise SOA to transform existing business processes. The announcement was made at SAP TechEd '07 Bangalore, being held in Bangalore, India from November 28-30.

Highlighting the expanding importance of India within the SAP ecosystem, the SAP Developer Network (SDN) and Business Process Expert communities in India have grown to nearly 200,000 members in the last year, showing a 100 percent increase in overall membership across the country. Weekly page views and interactions on the community sites in India have also doubled over the last year, with more than one million pages viewed per week from India alone. Registration for SAP TechEd '07 in Bangalore has sold out with 5,000 registered attendees, which represents an increase of more than 30 percent over attendance at the inaugural SAP TechEd event in India last year.

The SDN and Business Process Expert communities enable customers, partners, developers and employees to engage with IT and business professionals across the globe to share expertise and best practices related to SAP solutions and enterprise SOA. Participation in these communities - which is free and open to all who are interested in collaborating - helps members to engage in collaborative innovation, deploy SAP solutions more quickly and benefit from the collective knowledge of the SAP worldwide community.
