World's Leading Provider of Business Software Taps Global IT Services Firm as Go-To Partner for F&B SMEs
ROSEMONT, Ill., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kanbay International, Inc. (NASDAQ:KBAY) , a global management consulting, technology integration and development, and outsourcing firm, today announced that it is teaming with SAP America, Inc. to provide single-source solutions for small and midsized enterprises (SMEs) in the food and beverage sector. In response to demand for fast, simple and cost-effective improvements to business processes, Kanbay will work closely with SAP's Food and Beverage Industry Business Unit (IBU) to bring turn-key solutions, based on SAP Best Practices, to market.
Kanbay is also an SAP Services partner and one of only seven SAP & SAS 70 Type II Certified Hosting partners in the U.S. Through these partnerships, Kanbay helps SAP customers implement and integrate SAP applications, optimize business processes and provide strategic business consulting. Kanbay's current food and beverage client roster includes companies such as Florida Crystals Corporation (FCC), Flowers Foods, McCormick & Company, Inc., and The Schwan Food Company.
When FCC acquired an interest in American Sugar Refining, Inc. (owner of the Domino(R) Sugar brand), the company sought to integrate its acquisition quickly and efficiently without disruption to the business. FCC called upon Kanbay (then Adjoined Consulting, Inc.) to tackle the technology transfer migration and integration from the seller's parent systems.
"Kanbay has been recognized in the industry as a premier solutions provider to the food and beverage sector," said FCC's CIO Don Whittington. "We chose Kanbay (then Adjoined Consulting, Inc.) to assist with this strategic acquisition because they have proven to be an IT services firm that offers agile, adaptive solutions that can integrate well with our existing technologies, support and refine our business processes, and provide flexibility for the future."
Kanbay's experts in both the Enterprise Resource Planning and Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail practices work closely with SAP to co-create solutions for customers.
"Kanbay has a strong track record of delivering business results through SAP, and we look forward to collaborating further on solutions that will meet the planning, design, implementation and integration needs of their food and beverage customers," said David Northington, Managing Director of Kanbay's Enterprise Resource Planning practice. "Our strong relationship with SAP is further proof that Kanbay has distinguished itself in the marketplace through its domain expertise, as well as its unique on-shore, off-shore global delivery model."
