Laurus Technologies Strengthens SAP Team

Laurus Technologies, a regional provider of technology and business solutions, today announced that John Poreda joined the company as vice president in charge of SAP services. He and his group will operate from the Company’s Itasca, Illinois office as part of Laurus’ Business Applications Team.
Poreda will draw on his deep experience implementing SAP to optimize implementation engagements for Laurus clients. Well-known and respected in the SAP community, Poreda brings more than 14 years of SAP consulting practice and specific experience as a user.

In addition to leading the SAP Services, Poreda will be the Laurus Executive that supports the company’s relationship with Quadrate, Inc., a SAP-certified software company that provides data management solutions. Quadrate is used to support production issues, master data reaction/changes/deletion, mass uploads/updates, repetitive transactions and sales pricing changes.
Prior to joining Laurus Technologies, Poreda served as SAP Practice Manager at Mindworks in Denver. Before that as Global Environment Manager at Chevron, he supervised the enormous task of consolidating three separate regions into a single system. This effort encompassed the implementation of SAP R/3, business information warehouse (BW), human resources, supply chain management (SCM), portal, and other modules & functionality.
Before Chevron, Poreda served as the Technical Architect for SBC Communication (formerly ATT) for its SAP rollout. In this project, Poreda helped implement a supply chain solution called “Project Lightspeed” to provide locations with high-speed IP services. The endeavor included building a solution using SAP SCM and R/3 to manage the inventory, deliveries and validation of the devices that were used for the service.
During the 10 years previous, Poreda held many managerial positions ranging from project management to Vice President within SAP Practices.
