by Business Wire

MIAMI -- Neoris, the 4th largest IT consultancy in Latin America, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to support CEMEX, S.A. de C.V. (NYSE: CX) in the implementation of its SAP-based business process management solution throughout CEMEX's European operations. This implementation, led by key consultants from CEMEX's Information Technology and Business Process Evolution team (IT & BPE) and Neoris, will help accelerate the integration of CEMEX's European operations, acquired through the acquisition of RMC in 2005, while maximizing their operating efficiency.

The rollout of the Neoris platform throughout CEMEX's European operations will help CEMEX to achieve substantial efficiencies and cost savings, while improving the Company's ability to innovate and, thereby, enable extensive process standardization across all of its operations.

CEMEX IT & BPE have chosen Neoris to assist on this effort due to the firm's significant experience helping CEMEX in rolling out the CEMEX Way across multiple cultures. "We evaluated several global consulting firms to help us on this mission-critical global project. Neoris' understanding of the cement industry, in-depth knowledge of supply chain management / logistics and experience on global implementations played a key role in our decision. On the software platform front, SAP was selected over other industry offerings due to the breadth of the offering and the performance benefits of its architecture," said Jose Luis Luna, Chief Information Officer at CEMEX.

Neoris maintains an SAP practice supported by its own SAP Excellence Center, a group of consultants knowledgeable and well versed in the platform as well as in the support and maintenance of multinational SAP implementations.

"We are proud to have been selected by CEMEX to take a leading role in the implementation of this crucial global project," said Claudio Muruzabal, CEO of Neoris. "This showcases our capabilities to manage massive, multi-country SAP deployments, fueling our continued expansion into Europe and the United States."

"Global companies like CEMEX and Neoris understand the importance of selecting business software that provides not only reliability, but also improves business agility, now and in the long-term," said Jose Duarte, Regional Managing Director for SAP Latin America. "SAP's clear vision and solid SAP NetWeaver(TM) -enabled mySAP(TM) Business Suite solutions that reduce technological complexity, improve integration, and reduce total cost of ownership, are now becoming an integral part of the CEMEX Way."

A team of Neoris consultants from Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico and the United Kingdom will work together throughout the implementation process. The team will also include SAP-platform experts, with extensive integration and custom application development experience. The initial phase of the project will begin in Germany with continued rollout to the United Kingdom, France and the remainder of the European operations. The project is expected to be completed in 2007.
