Newmerix Adds Change Control Designed for SAP(R) to Its Automate!(TM) Suite for Lifecycle and Compliance Management

SUPERIOR, Colo., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Newmerix Corp., which provides lifecycle and compliance management software for enterprise applications, today announced that it has purchased Skywire(R) Software's fully integrated transport management system Object Manager(TM), which is designed specifically for SAP(R). The purchase extends Newmerix's Automate!(TM) Suite of lifecycle and compliance management products by adding a comprehensive change control solution for SAP. Object Manager complements Newmerix's strategy of building application management products that work with enterprise application metadata-Object Manager is built in ABAP(TM) and installs directly into SAP environments.

Object Manager will join Newmerix's Automate!Suite of products for the SAP platform and be renamed Automate!Change. The Automate!Change application automates the transport management process within SAP environments, and because it's written entirely in ABAP -- SAP's own programming language -- and installs directly into the SAP application, it provides complete control over transports. Using the Automate!Change application from within SAP, customers can mitigate the risks associated with using disparate or generic systems to execute, monitor, track, and report on mission-critical transport operations.

The Automate!Change application provides four core change control functions: transport management, client comparison, transport rollback, and transport reporting. These capabilities enable companies to perform successful SAP upgrades and maintain regulatory compliance more effectively and at lower cost. The Automate!Change application is the only change control system for SAP that provides the ability to rollback or undo faulty transports.

The organization also plans to launch its automated functional testing application for Oracle e-Business applications, Automate!Test for Oracle, at the end of the year, which will effectively extend the company's lifecycle management suite to cover SAP, Oracle e- Business, and PeopleSoft applications.
