SAP Arabia deploys mySAP business suite applications at ETA & Star

Continuing its recent momentum, SAP Arabia has announced that it will be installing the latest version of mySAP ERP and mySAP CRM for the The ETA & Star (ETA) Group to help unify business processes and information and help operations across the groups 12 industries.
The ETA & Star (ETA) Group is rolling out the latest versions of mySAP ERP and mySAP Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM) to monitor key performance indicators of its business units, divisions and projects. The ETA Group feel that functionality and industry best practices embedded in SAP's mySAP Business suite software will enable them to compliment their current legacy systems with a standard solution to meet the industry-specific business demands that they face.
ETA, a leading UAE based conglomerate, comprises more than 70 companies and over 40,000 employees, and their worldwide operations span industries as diverse as engineering and construction, retail and leisure. One of the biggest challenges of managing such a diversified businesses across multiple locations is providing staff with easy access to data via a single 'information window'. By consolidating information onto a single platform, the company aims to empower management to make faster and more informed decisions.
The initial SAP roll out included full implementation of all enterprise resource planning (ERP) modules at three companies, while the financial and human capital management (HCM) modules were implemented across all 70 companies in nine months. The software was deployed in two phases and went live in September this year.

This major SAP rollout was implemented by Larsen and Toubro InfoTech, one of SAP's global implementation service providers, along with several dedicated ETA core team members. To enable end users gain the maximum benefit from the rich functionalities of the SAP solutions, a change management team and help desks have been set up in the company. A full-fledged, in-house SAP training centre will also be established shortly.
