Job description SAP PS Consultant (MTO, ETO or STO) - UK - Permanent

We are seeking an experienced SAP PS Consultant who has a strong background in the manufacturing industry and in either Engineer to Order, Make to Order or Service to Order (MTO, ETO or STO). The successful candidate will be working with a global leading consultancy organisation with the opportunity to work on exciting projects and progress in their career as a SAP PS Consultant.

Main purpose of the role
The successful candidate will be a SAP Project Systems (PS) Supply Chain Consultant capable of designing, building, testing and providing post-implementation support of Project driven Supply Chain solutions. In addition they must have a strong understanding of how these solutions integrate with customers’ Accounting/Controlling, Project Management and Product Development Management (PDM) business processes.

The candidate will have extensive knowledge of how to use PS to deliver integrated Engineer and Make to Order (ETO and MTO) manufacturing, project management and engineering business processes. The candidate will have an excellent understanding of how PS integrates with SAP’s wider application suite (including ECC (SD, PP, PM, CS, MM), SCM (APO, EM) and PLM) to deliver Supply Chain solutions for Manufacturing and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) processes such as those found in the Utilities, Aerospace, Transport, Facilities Management and Oil and Gas industry sectors.
They will have demonstrable experience of completing at least three (with one in a team lead role) full lifecycle SAP ETO and/or MTO manufacturing implementations. They will have a good understanding of integration third party partner planning products, such as Oracle’s Primavera and PDM products, such as PTC’s Windchill and Siemens’ Teamcenter.

Personal Profile
We are looking for candidates with the following key skills and experience:
• Demonstrable SAP PS and PP functional knowledge and lead implementation experience in an ETO and/or MTO context is essential. Specific knowledge of SAP’s valuated and non-valuated Project Stock procurement scenarios (using tools such as ECC-PROMAN and ECC- EXPD in conjunction with SRM and cFolders), Grouping, Pegging and Distribution (GPD) and how they drive downstream Project and Product Costing is highly desirable.
• Experience in the deployment of SAP ETO, MTO or Service to Order (STO) solutions in at least one or more of the following sectors is essential – Utilities, Aerospace, Travel and Transport, Oil and Gas and Facilities Management
• Experience of integrating with third party products such as Primavera is desirable.
• The candidate must have a minimum of three full SAP project life cycles with at least one in a Team Lead role
• Strong written and verbal communications skills as essential as is the ability to influence at all levels including team members working remotely
• Being able to demonstrable winning contributions to SAP related business development activity is desirable, specifically writing and presenting proposal content to prospective clients.
• Wider knowledge of SAP’s Business Suite 7 and associated Enhancements Packages along with relevant SAP certification is desirable.
