Start Date: (ASAP to June 30, 2013)

Tasks

* You are part of a team providing business critical IT services to the customer.
The services will be delivered at customer premises
* You will administrate and operate the servers, middle-tiers (and applications) of the customer in an Unix (AIX, HP-UX, Linux) environment, with a focus on HP-UX and Linux
* Secure the system availability and performance according defined service levels
* Ensure, on a daily basis, the control, integrity and accessibility of the servers
* Provide incident isolation, remediation and documentation (incidents and problems)
* Reconfiguration of Unix systems, implementation of patches, upgrades and new software modules while respecting the change mgmt process
* Participate in Performance and Capacity management
* Participate in the definition of service improvements and innovations
* Maintaining operational documentation
* Permanently interface with the control and monitoring team
* Work together with the 3th level support and Customer’s Operations management
* Collaborate in changes/projects (e.g. transformation) and DRP exercises
* You will participate in the following ITIL processes:
* Incident management (troubleshooting)
* Problem management
* Availability management
* Capacity management
* Change management
* Configuration management
* Release management (acceptance and bring into production)






Competences

















Education



Bachelor in IT (or higher degree) preferable




Experience


* At least 8 years of experience in IT
* At least 4 years of experience in HP-UX and 2 years in Red Hat Linux
* Preferably 3 years experience with ITIL processes and using an ITSM tool





Knowledge


* At least 4 years on HP-UX, versions 11i v2 & v3
* At least 2 years on Red Hat Linux
* Knowledge of AIX is preferable
* Scripting hands-on
* Network knowledge for troubleshooting
* Knowledge as an Unix system administrator of:
* RDBMS Oracle
* Security mgmt & tools
* Storage and Backup
* Good understanding of ITIL (preferably ITIL Foundation certification)
* Nice to have: Basic knowledge of Project mgmt (Prince2 or PMI)





Languages


* Oral: very good EN, NL and/or FR; understand NL and FR
* Written: good EN, NL and/or FR
